Home/Coverage

Coverage Plans

Six coverage types, each weighed against real assets, real obligations, and the gaps that surface when a policy goes unreviewed.

A methodical pass through every line of protection

Most policies arrive as a bundle, priced before the questions get asked. My work runs in the opposite direction. I start with what matters most, walk through what would happen if any of it went unprotected, then size each coverage line to fit.

Auto

Auto Insurance

Liability sized to real assets. Comprehensive and collision kept only where the math holds up against vehicle value.

  • Bodily injury and property damage limits matched to net worth
  • Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage held at parity
  • Deductibles weighed against actual savings, not arbitrary defaults

Home

Home Insurance

Dwelling protection mapped to rebuild cost today, not a market estimate or a county tax record from another era.

  • Replacement cost evaluated against current local build pricing
  • Personal property scheduled for high value items where needed
  • Flood and earthquake endorsements weighed by zone, not assumption

Health

Health Insurance

Plans checked against deductibles, networks, and the prescriptions that shape real cost across a full plan year.

  • Network checked against current doctors and preferred hospitals
  • Prescription tiers walked through line by line
  • HSA eligibility weighed against expected annual spend

Medicare

Medicare Insurance

Advantage and Supplement options sorted by current providers, prescriptions, and the travel patterns that quietly shape need.

  • Part D drug coverage checked against the actual medication list
  • Network breadth weighed by travel and snowbird patterns
  • Supplement letter plans compared on long term cost, not premium alone

Life

Life Insurance

Term and whole life sized around real obligations, mortgage balance, and the income replacement that keeps a household steady.

  • Term length aligned to mortgage payoff or youngest child age
  • Whole life evaluated for estate need, not as a savings vehicle
  • Conversion riders flagged where a future shift is likely

Burial

Burial Coverage

Final expense plans arranged with dignity, sized to actual service costs and payout timing that lands when a family needs it.

  • Face amount matched to local funeral service averages
  • Graded versus level benefits sorted by health profile
  • Payout speed weighed so a family is not left waiting

From open question to a policy that holds up

A short walk through how a coverage review moves from first conversation to final decision.

01

Listen First

I open each review with what matters in the household. Assets, dependents, current policies, recent changes. No quote form to start.

02

Map The Exposure

I weigh each coverage line against what would actually hurt if it went unprotected. Gaps and overlaps surface in plain language.

03

Compare Carriers

I pull quotes across multiple carriers, then narrow by claim reputation, network depth, and the hidden clauses that often go unread.

04

Review Yearly

Life shifts. A renovation, a new driver, a fresh prescription. An annual check catches drift before it becomes a claim problem.

Questions worth asking before a policy gets signed

The questions that surface most often once coverage is examined slowly, line by line.

Bundling often saves money, but not always the most. I run both bundled and split scenarios so the saving is real, not just advertised on the quote sheet.

Market value reflects what someone would pay for the property. Rebuild cost reflects what it would take to put the structure back up at current local labor and material rates. The two rarely match.

Advantage rolls Parts A, B, and usually D into one private plan with a network. Supplement sits alongside Original Medicare and covers what Original leaves behind. The right choice depends on doctors, travel, and prescription habits.

Both pay a death benefit, but burial coverage is sized small and qualifies easily, built specifically to land quickly so funeral costs do not fall on a family in the middle of grief.

Any time a major life event lands. Marriage, divorce, a new child, a death in the family. A stale beneficiary line can override every other intention written down.

One conversation is usually all it takes
