Privacy Policy
How information collected during coverage inquiries gets handled, stored, and protected.
CapeCover does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Information Collected
Information collected through CapeCover falls into three categories: details submitted directly through forms, technical details captured when the site gets used, and details shared during a coverage conversation.
- Direct submissions: name, email, phone number, password, and any context shared in a note field or on a call.
- Technical details: browser type, device type, general location, pages visited, and the path taken across the site.
- Conversation details: assets, dependents, current policies, prescriptions, doctors, and any other context surfaced during a coverage review.
How Information Gets Used
Information collected is used only to support the coverage inquiry it relates to. That means scheduling calls, preparing carrier quotes, answering policy questions, and following up on prior conversations.
Marketing and promotional messages get sent only when explicit consent gets given at signup, and only about coverage types relevant to the household.
Sharing With Carriers
To prepare quotes, certain details get shared with insurance carriers. Those carriers receive only what they need to underwrite a policy, and they handle that information under their own privacy practices.
Carrier names get disclosed before any information moves over, and consent for that disclosure is part of the coverage review process.
Storage and Security
Account passwords get hashed before storage. Personal details get stored on systems protected by industry-standard encryption, access controls, and logging. Physical files get kept in locked storage at the office address listed on the home page.
No security system is absolute. Any incident that affects stored information will trigger notice to affected households as soon as the scope is confirmed.
Cookies and Tracking
The site uses cookies to keep login sessions active, remember form progress, and gather aggregate traffic data. Browser settings can disable cookies, though some features may stop working as a result.
No third-party advertising trackers run on the site. No behavioral profile gets built for retargeting.
Communication Consent
Phone, SMS, and email communications happen only after consent gets given at signup. STOP and HELP keywords work on SMS at any time. An unsubscribe link appears in every marketing email.
Account and service messages, such as reset links or appointment confirmations, may continue regardless of marketing preferences.
Access and Correction
A household can request a copy of stored information, correct anything inaccurate, or ask for deletion of records not required for regulatory purposes. Requests get acknowledged within a few business days and acted on within a reasonable window.
Children
The site and coverage inquiries are not directed to children. No information is knowingly collected from minors. Records discovered to belong to a child get deleted promptly.
Changes To This Policy
Material changes to this policy get posted on this page with a fresh date. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies. The current effective date appears at the top of the page.
Contact
Questions, corrections, or deletion requests can be sent through the contact channels listed on the home page footer.
